Joeti is a Program Manager in Data Center Solutions for CoolIT Systems. She provides new product integration for direct liquid cooling to significantly reduce the total data center energy consumption. She completed her Master of Science degree in Sustainable Energy Development, from the Haskayne School of Business while working as a Project Manager in the Energy Sector. Joeti’s work experience is inclusive of 8 years, both in-field/on-site and head office on Major Projects for the Alberta Energy Regulator, Shell Canada and Enbridge Pipelines through Jacobs.
Her academic career started as a dancer; she completed her Minor in Dance during her Economics undergraduate degree. Joeti loves to take on new challenges that allow her to leverage her artistic and creative side to find the best strategic outcomes of any obstacle. She has the gift of bringing her authentic self to everything she does, with passion, vulnerability, and a fearless attitude.
Apart from Joeti’s professional career, she finds regular meditation, yoga, dance, fitness, spending time in nature, and the spa are the best ways for her to connect with herself and others. Her several tribes are a huge part of her life. Connection is what Joeti values most as she leads the Young Professionals in Energy Calgary Chapter.
Seymour is a Completions Engineer with Velvet Energy, a private intermediate oil & gas producer. He is primarily responsible for helping develop the company’s Montney and Deep Basin plays through multistage horizontal wellbore optimization, day-to-day field operations and well workovers, and offset research/competitor intelligence analytics.
Seymour is a recent graduate having obtained an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University in 2016. He is currently an EIT pursuing his professional license with APEGA, in addition to working towards his Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Apart from splitting his time between the office, field and mountains, Seymour actively works on his recent start-up venture, Thirdegree.
Victoria is an Evaluation Engineer (EIT) at McDaniel & Associates. In her role she evaluates oil and gas reserves and resources and prepares economic evaluations for purposes of annual reporting, reserves certifications, reserves audits, debt financing, due diligence reviews, and acquisitions and divestitures. Prior to joining McDaniels, she gained reservoir experience interning in heavy oil and unconventional gas teams at Shell Canada.
Victoria grew up alongside the oil & gas industry in Brunei, Syria, New Orleans, and Oman before moving to Calgary. She graduated with a First Class Honours Chemical Engineering degree from Queen’s University in 2017 and is currently pursuing her professional license with APEGA. Out of the office, Victoria is involved in a number of young professional and energy focused groups and likes to run, bike, ski, golf, and travel.
Scarlett is a Program Lead at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) where she leads the Fort McKay Air Quality and Odours Program, a multi-stakeholder program focused on reducing emissions and improving air quality in Fort McKay.
Scarlett holds a Bachelors of Science (Honours) in Environmental Science from the University of Calgary, where she completed an honours thesis under the Faculty of Law examining the application of adaptive management in Alberta’s oil and gas sector.
Outside of the office, Scarlett is a spin addict, tech junkie, and wanderlust at heart. She loves exploring the intersection between the sciences, arts, and philosophy and sees the future of innovation arising from linking humanity with technology. She also volunteers with the Headway Foundation – a New York based non-profit organization dedicated to concussion awareness, aid, and advocacy.
Jack practices as a corporate commercial lawyer at Blake, Cassels & Graydon where he assists clients on a broad range of matters including, asset acquisitions and dispositions, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and internal reorganizations.
Jack is a graduate of Queen’s University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After working as an engineer for a major Canadian Oil & Gas company, Jack obtained a law degree from the University of Calgary.
Outside of work, Jack is an avid skier and mountain biker and enjoys playing squash, badminton and table tennis.
Joshua currently works as a Senior Associate at ICF in its Energy, Aviation, & Infrastructure group, where he has worked on the development and implementation of Provincial energy efficiency programs, development of strategic project decision tools, and work on beneficial electrification (current focus on strategic planning for EV charging infrastructure). Prior to joining ICF, Joshua has worked on industrial control and distributed power generation design, installation, and commissioning.
Joshua holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Electrical Engineering (Energy Systems) from the University of Alberta. Currently, he is in the final semester of an MBA with a specialization in finance from the Haskayne School of Business.
Outside of academia and work, Joshua is Vice-President of the Association of Energy Engineers Alberta, an enthusiastic media consumer, and enjoys cycling, mountain biking, skiing, and squash.
Andy is a Data Science Engineer (EIT) at Teine Energy Ltd. in Calgary. In this role, he assists in advanced analyses, data engineering/architecting, optimization projects, and digital strategic planning company-wide.
Attending the University of British Columbia, Andy obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering. Immediately after graduation he decided to move back to Calgary to apply tech to Energy.
In his free time, Andy enjoys personal programming projects, yo-yoing, documentaries, and hiking.
