
Seymour Monteiro
President
Seymour works in Commercial Development for AltaGas Midstream, right at the intersection of operations/engineering, business development, and customer relations. Seymour’s primary job is to work with operations and engineering staff to run the company’s assets at top efficiency, problem solve and negotiate deals/contracts with customers, and work with team members & customers in bringing development opportunities to life. Prior to joining AltaGas, Seymour worked at Velvet Energy in Drilling & Completions and Exploitation roles, helping develop the business’ unconventional light oil Montney/Deep Basin assets.
Seymour spent the majority of his life between Calgary and Saudi Arabia, constantly exposed to the marvels of the energy / oil & gas sector. He holds an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University and is currently pursuing his professional license with APEGA. Apart from splitting his time between the office, field and mountains, Seymour actively works on his start-up ventures, Thirdegree, and Drivin.

Victoria Clark
VP – External
Victoria is an Advisor with the Low Carbon Development Team at Enbridge. In her role she supports the development of low carbon business opportunities across the carbon dioxide and hydrogen value chains, spanning Enbridge’s liquids pipeline footprint from Alberta to the US Gulf Coast. Prior to joining Enbridge, she gained reserves and reservoir engineering experience at McDaniels and Shell Canada.
Victoria grew up alongside the oil & gas industry in Brunei, Syria, New Orleans, and Oman before moving to Calgary. She graduated with a First Class Honours Chemical Engineering degree from Queen’s University in 2017 and holds a P.Eng license with APEGA. Out of the office, Victoria is involved in a number of young professional and energy focused groups and likes to run, bike, ski, golf, and travel.

Scarlett Zhu
VP – Internal
Scarlett is a Product Manager at Shareworks by Morgan Stanley where she serves as the bridge between the technical and business worlds and guides software development from conception to launch in the equity compensation space.
Scarlett holds a Bachelors of Science (Honours) in Environmental Science from the University of Calgary, where she completed an honours thesis under the Faculty of Law examining the application of adaptive management in Alberta’s oil and gas sector.
Outside of the office, Scarlett is a spin addict, tech junkie, and wanderlust at heart. She loves exploring the intersection between the sciences, arts, and philosophy and sees the future of innovation arising from linking humanity with technology. She also volunteers with the Headway Foundation – a New York based non-profit organization dedicated to concussion awareness, aid, and advocacy.

Erik Fleming
Corporate Secretary
Erik’s practise focuses primarily on assisting clients with general corporate and commercial matters. He has assisted clients on various matters and transactions, including asset acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations and energy infrastructure development and operational agreements.
Erik also has experience in banking and commercial lending transactions which includes analyzing and drafting corporate agreements and conducting corporate due diligence.

Josh Uliac
Treasurer
Joshua currently works as a Senior Associate at ICF in its Energy, Aviation, & Infrastructure group, where he has worked on the development and implementation of Provincial energy efficiency programs, development of strategic project decision tools, and work on beneficial electrification (current focus on strategic planning for EV charging infrastructure). Prior to joining ICF, Joshua has worked on industrial control and distributed power generation design, installation, and commissioning.
Joshua holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Electrical Engineering (Energy Systems) from the University of Alberta. Currently, he is in the final semester of an MBA with a specialization in finance from the Haskayne School of Business.
Outside of academia and work, Joshua is Vice-President of the Association of Energy Engineers Alberta, an enthusiastic media consumer, and enjoys cycling, mountain biking, skiing, and squash.

Elan Code
Director
Elan is a Geotechnical Engineer (P.Eng.) by training and currently works in management consulting at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree with distinction in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia. She has gained exposure to the energy industry throughout her life both in Canada and abroad in the Netherlands, Russia, and China. These experiences have allowed her to develop a global perspective on the importance of natural resources to society. Elan started her professional career working as a geotechnical engineer in oil sands mining at Shell Canada and Canadian Natural Resources; she is now leveraging her engineering experience at BCG to work with clients in the energy industry and beyond to build competitive advantage and drive positive societal impact.
Outside of work, Elan enjoys staying active whether that involves spin and yoga in the city or hiking, skiing, and cycling in the mountains. She also loves live music and regularly volunteers with local non-profit music and arts festivals.

Andy Tertzakian
Director
Andy is a Data Science Engineer (EIT) at Teine Energy Ltd. in Calgary. In this role, he assists in advanced analyses, data engineering/architecting, optimization projects, and digital strategic planning company-wide.
Attending the University of British Columbia, Andy obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering. Immediately after graduation he decided to move back to Calgary to apply tech to Energy. Andy is also currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Information and Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley whilst he works.
In his free time, Andy enjoys personal programming projects, yo-yoing, documentaries, and hiking.
